REPOS at the Vault Gallery - July 2023
REPOS, my art show hosted at the Vault Gallery (@thevault_gallery) for three weeks in July 2023
Showcasing 24 film photographs shot on two cameras and developed at home. All photos were printed on photo paper diverted from the landfill through Supply Victoria (@supplyvictoria) 💜
Props and materials for used the show were all acquired secondhand. The photographs depict queer/trans rest in nature 🌳 Thank you to the wonderful models AJ, Cohen, and Noah: @burd_howse_studios @spiritqueer @noah.cant.stand.still

✨In the centre of the space there is a children's bed with blue sheets and pink satin pillow
✨20 photos are attached together to form a blanket on the bed
✨In the back there is a projection of short video clips of the environment where the photos were shot, at Thetis Lake
✨A soundscape of chirping birds echos through the space
✨In the right corner a desk with a notebook, pens, and writing prompts about rest invites guests to contribute to the conversation
