REPOS at the Vault Gallery July 4-21

I have some big news! I have some new prints on the way, and they are going to make their big debut at my next art show: REPOS. This project is very near to my heart, and is finally coming to life🌈💫

REPOS (pronounced “Ruh-Poe”) is the French word for Rest. Some of you may not know this, but English is my second language. I moved here from Québec when I was still in grade school. It felt right to name this show in the language that feels most comfortable to me, or as my friend Cohen put it, “Rest in a language that I understand” 💗

Come see some photos that I created in collaboration with @papertooth , @burd_howse_studios and @noah.cant.stand.still, at Thetis lake. Help me figure out what it means to rest.

The photos in this post, and the photos that will be displayed during the gallery were created on unceded (read: stolen) land of the Lewungen speaking peoples, specifically the Esquimalt and Songhees nations.

ACCESSIBILITY INFO

✨Entrance ✨

The main entrance has a large flight of stairs outside the door. There is an entrance on the side of the building a little further up Fairfield street toward Blanchard that does not have stairs and is flat. If the door is locked, there will be a phone number you can call to be let in.

✨Inside✨

There is a small ramp to get into the Vault Gallery. There is room to get around the art with a wheelchair in the gallery space even though it is a small space.

Bathrooms are on the second floor, and there is a working elevator to get up there.

✨Masks✨

This is a masked event. The space in the gallery is quite small and not ventilated. Please bring your own mask if you can. There will be a few masks on hand and sanitizer for those who need.

Please help spread the word so that people come prepared! I want everyone to feel safe and welcome here.

✨Questions?✨

Dont hesitate to comment here or send me a message if you have any questions prior to coming! I want to make sure things feel safe and comfortable for everyone attending the show this month.

➡️➡️If at any point you feel unsafe during the event, please come find me or any helps at the main tables and we will be happy to help you.
