SHAG. The name itself evokes a sense of excitement, of energy waiting to burst forth. And burst forth it did, in a whirlwind of vibrant colors, pulsating beats, and boundless creativity.

As a photographer privileged to capture the essence of SHAG, I found myself swept away by the sheer magic of it all. From the moment I stepped into the bustling streets of Chinatown Victoria, I knew this night would be unlike any other.

The heart of SHAG was undoubtedly Ruby's Peepshow—a traveling spectacle that brought a touch of whimsy to Lekwungen Territory. As attendees mingled near the enchanting trailer, anticipation hung in the air like a tangible presence.

Inside the peepholes, a world of wonder awaited. Attendees peered through with eager curiosity, drawn by the allure of the unknown. Meanwhile, performers dazzled within, their artistry unfolding in intimate settings that blurred the lines between fantasy and reality.

But SHAG was more than just a peepshow—it was a celebration of community spirit and sex-positivity. Drag artists Honey Dewme and Peaches n Screams mesmerized the crowd with their electrifying performances, while DJs kept the beats alive, urging attendees to dance into the night.

As I moved through the crowd, camera in hand, I couldn't help but be swept up in the energy of it all. Models prepared backstage for the fashion show, attendees danced with abandon, and laughter filled the air—a testament to the joy and camaraderie that SHAG inspired.
